A study at England’s University of Newcastle has discovered that if you give a cow a name, and treat her as an individual, she will produce more milk than the cows without names. As much as 450 pints or more per year.

Portuguese craftsman Carlos Alberto handbuilt a perfect reproduction of an early-1950’s Handlebar Vespa… but he did it in wood. Absolutely amazing (both as a scooterist and a craftsman), it rides around and everything (and maple is probably more durable than 60-year-old aircraft aluminum would be, though I’d be curious what the weight difference is).

In a very Italian gesture, a company in Modena that builds parts for Ferrari has designed and built a high-tech luxury super-turntable that sells for $64,000.
Seriously? For 64K I don’t play records, I can hire the band that MADE those records!
